We are pleased to report that we held an okonomiyaki party on September 3.

We held an okonomiyaki party. A total of 10 people (including staff) enjoyed the party! Some of our guests were innovative and sprinkled hardened potato chips as an ingredient for okonomiyaki, in addition to seafood mix and pork!

This year's participants included guests from Russia, China, Singapore, Russia, Finland, New Zealand, and Japan.

　Because I could not find a measuring cup and used a mug to measure the water, the amount of water was too much. I struggled to get the okonomiyaki to stay circular.

It was a weird shape, but the taste was good.

Everyone seemed to love Japanese food. Yesterday, there were three customers who ate okonomiyaki near the station in Kamakura. They said the okonomiyaki they made pre-mix was delicious, but it was probably not as tasty as the ones at Tsukui's, a famous okonomiyaki restaurant in Kamakura...At the very least, they said the bonito flakes toppings were dancing more when they ate it at the restaurant.

At the end of the event, we decorated the pancakes.

I am glad we had the event this time! Many of the participants said that they were very happy to have had the opportunity to attend. It was also a stimulating experience, as we had a lot of fun talking about cultural differences and Japanese food in other countries.

An advantage of hostels is that both guests and staff can interact with each other! We would like to hold more events regularly in the future!
