Origami ~plat hostel keikyu haneda home~
Hello!
The cherry blossom season is over in Kanto area, and the weather is gradually getting warmer!
Please take care not to get sick as the seasons change.
Now, the content of this blog is Origami!
One of our staff members has been quietly making these decorations, changing them with the seasons, and placing them around the front desk on his own.
If you are interested, please take a look until the end!
We would like to introduce some of the items we have created this year.
First, here we go!
''Plum blossoms''
The process of cutting and pasting was surprisingly nerve-wracking, but it turned out rather well!
Then, "Cats"!
This one was made for "Cat Day" on February 22.
The cat bowl was easy to make, but the 3D cat in the middle was more difficult, and to be honest, I am not sure if I got it right or not.
Next, the "Kusudama" (a small Japanese paper ball with a small "kusudama" in the center).
He worked hard on this one to celebrate our hostel's successful 2nd anniversary!
The first one was relatively easy to make, using only 12 sheets and simple assembly!
The second piece, which used a total of 64 sheets of origami, took a lot of work, but it looks very pretty and I am proud to say that I am glad I made it.
The last one is located in the Japanese accessories on the front desk, just to the right of the main entrance.
"Cubes with holes."
After a lot of hard work, we managed to connect four cubes into a bead!
The cranes, boxes, and kimono origami in the foreground have been on display since the opening.
We will continue to display them at the front desk for our customers to see!
These are the main origami works we have created since the beginning of this year.
We are also working on some movable origami pieces that will delight children!
Some of them are available as is, so if you see something you like, please let our staff know!
We would be very happy if you could turn your attention to origami during your stay at our hostel.
