Hello, this is plat hostel keikyu asakusa station!

It's already July! In Japan, it's the middle of the rainy season but we have sunny hot days in between. The hot days make us feel like the full-blown summer has come.

You Might already know but our hostel concept is "the hostel makes you to take a train and go on a trip ". So we thought that want to make memories before start summer, and took a small trip

with close guest.

We left the hostel to head to the coast with "Misaki Maguro Day Trip Ticket".

"Maguro ticket" is sold by keikyu train company. It's not just a round trip ticket on the Keikyu line from the departure station to "Misakiguchi station". It's included unlimited bus ride within the free section, delicious lunch, amusement facility or survenir. It's a pack of tickets you will definitely enjoy the whole day.

Honestly, it's too reasonable and you will have an amazing day with this ticket.

We met up at Kanazawa bunko station at 9AM then we went to the Miura seaside.

It was a good day for walking around!

We took a photo with "Keikyun" which is a cute and popular mascot of Keikyu railway!

We bought a freshly fried croquette and headed to the beach.

This picture makes you feel summer, doesn't it?

However,the staff couldn't eat the croquette because a hawk snatch one :'-(

A hawk is not just flying around randomly,it is eyeing food. lol Please watch out and keep your food when you see a hawk.

After finishing a light meal,We took a train again to "Misakiguchi station".

We were excited with a cute illustration at "Misakiguchi station", which is famous for tuna(maguro in Japanese).

Of course, we had tuna for lunch ! It has so much more volume than we expected!

We chose a 'tuna rice bowl meal' which comes with miso-soup and small dishes. It was so delicious!

We felt that we would love to come again to this restaurant because the master was so friendly and had a lovely smile!

After lunch, we discussed the next destination.

We had not decided the details of this trip, activity, and destination. It was good to have fun on the trip without thinking about time, schedule and transportation fee.

Like we said in the beginning, the ticket has souvenir and activity privileges as well. As a souvenir, we got 'Tuna-miso', which seemed to suit rice and vegetables.

Handmade Miso-Tsukudani has walnuts in it and tastes so good!

We can get buses unlimitedly with the tickets. We went to 'Jogashima' by bus.

On that day, we could walk around for a long time since there were not much visitors.

We found a cave that was connected to the sea. Fish and shellfish were in the pools of water inside a cave, which reminded us of our childhood and it made us relaxed.

Hiking course made us tired, but we were touched with a beautiful view from the downhill road.

Finally, we got back to Misaki Port from Jogashima, and arrived at Kanazawa Bunko station.

Actually, it was a day that our close guest who went on the trip with checked out our hostel and we couldn't go back to our hostel together. So we felt a little sad when the end of the trip was approaching.

This trip gave me one more wonderful memory of 2021 and made me realize once again the importance of meeting and the goodness of the hostel.

The situation is still tough, we hope that everyone will have a much more enjoyable summer than last year!
