Hello! This is plat hostel keikyu asakusa karin.
If you think you've welcomed the New Year, the end of winter is almost here.
It means that spring is just around the corner! Many people will start to lead a new life.
As a student staff, I will graduate from the hostel where I worked for about a year because of my new life.
So, as a uni-student, I would like to introduce what I thought of actually working at the hostel.

- Interaction with a wide variety of people
When you hear "hostel", you might feel that it is used by many foreigners, but this hostel is also used by many Japanese customers.
Also, it is used by teenagers to elderly people, so I was able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
I talk with various people through work, such as those who are close in age and who traveled from a rural area to tell me the recommended places in that region, and those who used it for business to get advice on job hunting. I learned a lot from them.
Also, before covid-19, I had a lot of fun memories of playing games and cooking with foreigners.
- Become familiar with cleaning
Every day, we clean guest rooms, shared spaces, and shower rooms for customers to have a great time.
Now, I`m living with my parents,so I rarely have the opportunity to clean up, so it was a very valuable experience.
I learned a lot about cleaning.Especially,from cleaning drains, air conditioner filters, and other places that I don't usually clean at home.
I also found it will help me when I start living alone someday.
- I love asakusa karin so much
I love the common space very much. Because of the compact size, you can immediately communicate with customers and staff.
In addition, some customers feel free to talk to us, while others are relaxed, so everyone is free to spend their time.
Before Covid-19, there were many foreigners, so we had a small party. I hope that one day I can do it again.
At plat hostel keikyu asakusa karin, I had a lot of valuable experiences and it was a great learning experience.
