Received seasonal Mandarins from our guests!
Hi there! It's plat hostel keikyu asakusa station.
It's been quite chilly these days here, but how have you guys been?
Luckily, there are no big typhoons this year in Japan and now we can see some beautiful autumn leaves.
Now winter has come and 2020 is almost over. What was your best memory of this autumn?
As you might know, In Japan appetite has a lot to do with Autumn. There are so many things in Japan that you would want to eat in.
Mandarin orange is one of them as well. So...one of our guests who's been staying here for a long time gave us a box of Mandarin!
He has a friend who is running mandarin farm, so he went there to help them with a friend that he met at our hostel.
That tasted sweet and a little sour and we all were so excited.
Mandarin oranges contain a lot of vitaminC and citric acid. It helps your body from Swelling or fatigue, and also makes your skin condition better!
It's really good for now because between seasons it's easy to get sick, and now we have to wear masks all the time!
It was so delicious that we finished it so fast!
Interesting thing is that there was one with some striped pattern.
Someone said it looks like a pumpkin and another one said it's a sort of citron.
But the most important thing for us is the smiles of the guests.
He went out in the morning with a big smile saying "I'm going to pick mandarins!" After that we laughed talking about rare mandarin that he brought back. It was very nice!
Looking at it, We were able to realize once again the importance of meeting and the goodness of the hostel.
Special thanks for giving us this many mandarins and the opportunity to make such a precious memory too.
We know that this year is not as usually. However, you should try to do your best ever and let's make as many memories as possible during 2020.
