Well, there is only 5 days left until the new year.
Time goes really fast.
How was this year for you?
Actually, our hostel opened in March 2020, so this year was our first year.
Today's blog, we will look-back on our first year.

◯Before the opening
This hostel is the fourth hostel as plat hostel keikyu, and it is also the first hostel which we started from scratch.
When we were getting ready for the opening, we were excited and worried at the same time as we wouldn't expect what's to come.
We had a pre-opening at our a week before the opening. We were very encouraged to hear that the guest gave us good reputations.
This is our first black board art!
We drew spring and haneda airport. It is perfect for the atmosphere of this hostel.
A girl who came here for pre-opening drew the picture of "Keikyun".

〇The day of the opening!（3/27）
The day has come.
The very first guest was the guy who was holding a small sake cask.

◯Apr - Jul
A state of emergency has been announced by the government and people needed to stay at home.
The number of our guests decreased.
However some foreign guests came to stay at our hostel waiting for their flight to go back to their countries.
Knowing that staying this hostel is gonna be the last place for them we hope best of their luck. We hope staying here at the hostel would be memorable for them.
We draw the black board each season differently.
Different drawings on the black board make the atmosphere of the hostel better!

〇Aug - Oct
We had more guests coming in.
We had some regular guests who work in the neighborhood stay here long term and talked to them more often. They left some messages on the guest note we have in the lounge.
We are so happy to see some messages.

There was a festival called ''Kentousai'' in ''Anamoriinari Shrine'' close to the hostel.
We donated a Lantern with the hostel's name on it.

This is ''Karaage'' from the restaurant close to Anamoriinari Station.
We love this crispy juicy karaage and we are regular customers of the restaurant!

We started recently this neighborhood map and now we have some additions.
We think it's important to have connections with the nighbords.

〇Nov - Dec
We joined ''Go to travel campaign'' and got much busier!
It's like we are back to life after those difficult times and we had some tourists who went to Haneda Airport.
Some guests enjoy breakfast on the rooftop when it's sunny.
Lately It's more like ''Normal hostel'' with full of guests.
We had a Christmas tree and decorated it.
Unfortunately we couldn't hold any events due to the covid but we enjoyed the decoration and music during the christmas time!
Now we have more regular guests.
This is the gift from one of our regular guests. She handmade these little bags!
How cute they are! Thanks so much to her.

Due to the GO TO TRAVEL campaign stopped recently the number of guests has decreased. We hope everything will go back to normal soon and we will do our best to make guests safely and comfortably during their stay. and we wish you all the best and spend wonderful time the rest of the year.
