What did you think of our last post?

On November 2nd 2020, "Tori-no-Ichi"Festival was held at Otori-sama (Ohtori Shrine)!

We are so happy that this festival, which has been going on for 300 years since the Edo period, has been held again this year!

As we introduced in the last post, considering that we held this festival at any time of the year, it seemed that we would continue to do it at all times, no matter what.

In this article, we introduce you to the scene before the festival starts.

Ohtori shrine is just 5 minutes walk from our hostel!

If you go straight, you will reach the eagle shrine.

"Tori-no-Ichi"Festival is the first big festival in a long time, as the festival was almost cancelled this summer. We expected that a lot of visitors would come to the festival, so we took a walk around the site first while they were getting ready before the festival started.

In the past, about 700 stalls were set up in the market, but this year there were only about 120.

Since it was before the event, there were a only few people, so we were able to take my time and take pictures.

The minowa forest is close to the Ohtori shrine, so you can enjoy the atmosphere of the festival while you walk around!

The next Tori-no-Ichi Festival "Ni-no-toru" is on Nov 14th! Please come and visit "Tori-no-Ichi"
