plat hostel keikyu asakusa karin Store Introduction "OHAGI 3"
Autumn has deepened and there are many days with nice temperatures and weather, how are you all doing? Here are some recommended restaurants/ shops from plat hostel keikyu asakusa karin!
Asakusa area had been quiet for the last few months but people are getting back to see Japanese old culture!
"Nakamise shopping street" is one of the famous attractions in Asakusa and you can't miss it.
It is a nice and interesting street that takes you to Sensoji temple. Also there are many small streets on each side of the Nakamise shopping street.
The great Japanese sweets shop "OHAGI 3" is located just a few blocks away from the shopping street.
"OHAGI 3" (OHAGI SAN) is a Japanese sweets shop which is trying to spread real Japanese sweets to all over the world and also create new ones .
Ohagi is a traditional Japanese sweet, made from boiled glutinous rice coated with a red-bean jam, sweetened soy bean powder, or sweet sesame paste.
OHAGI 3 opened at Nagoya first, and Asakusa brunch has just opened in August 2019.
They make the sweets with any Additive-free material and it's not too sweet. There are 6 regular menus also they have seasonal or limited edition in each season.
(There were Zunda-green beans- jam flavor when we visited)
Old style Ohagi is quite big and really sweet, but their one is not too big and not too sweet so easy to eat as an afternoon snack.
Of Course you can purchase from one piece.
They also have other sweet snacks like Warabi-mochi (jelly-like confection made from Bracken starch) or Matcha milk drink with Warabi-mochi.
Matcha milk drink is also not too sweet and feels like bubble tea but healthier and can't stop drinking because it was so tasty.
If you put them in the box, it looks like a jewelry box and if you want to bring something to your friend, it will be a good idea to choose this shop!
(The box for 3,6 or 9 ohagis)
There are many shops on Nakamise shopping street, but it is also nice to find little nice shops like OHAGI 3 on back streets.
If you have a chance to strook in Asakusa, why don't you try the healthy Ohagi here?
