What do you think, when you hear "Asakusa"?
I think there are many places such as Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Shopping Street, and Sky Tree.
However, what everyone tends to forget is the "Sanja Matsuri"!
Sanja Matsuri is a traditional Japanese festival that has continued since the Edo period.
Originally it was held every year in May, but this year it was postponed to October because of the influence of the coronavirus.
So, I would like to introduce the "Sanja Matsuri" that will be held this autumn.
Schedule 17 October 2020 (Saturday) 10:00～
18 October 2020 (Sunday) 11:00～18:00
The Sanja Matsuri was held for three days on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in the third week of May every year.
However, this year because of the influence of the coronavirus, the scale was reduced and the schedule was shortened for two days.
This year will have a " Coronavirus Sedation Prayer Festival" at the annual festival ceremony.
The festival has been held every year for more than 700 years, and for local people in Asakusa, it is really important to continue this history without missing even a year.
To the people who want to feel the atmosphere of the festival! Or to the people who want to get energized!
