plat hostel keikyu minowa forest "Tokyo Sakura tram part 4"
Hello, we are plat hostel keikyu minowa forest.
This time is Tokyo Sakura tram part 4 ! and we are going to tell you about cherry blossoms and the activities in Asukayama!
As soon as you arrive at the summit by Ascargo, you can see cherry blossom in front of you!
This is a first park in Japan that is specified in 1873. At the time, there is not much places for Hanami(seeing Sakura trees and have a little party) so many cherry blossom trees are planted for people to enjoy seeing Sakura on spring. You can walk through between the beautiful cherry blossoms which is meaningful like that.
If you walk little bit you will find some unusual playground equipments so you can take a commemorative photo!
And Asukayama has three museums.
The first one is the Paper Museum. At one of the world's leading paper museum, and you can make handmade original postcards or bookmarks from recycled milk packs on weekends!
The second is the Kitaku Asukayama Museum. Here, the local materials of the area are displayed.
The third is the Shibusawa Museum.
It is a museum of houses and exhibits materials related to Eiichi Shibusawa, a businessman who was said to be the "father of Japanese capitalism". He had his main residence in Asukayama. It's been talked about since last year as a person who is scheduled to become a portrait of a new banknote of 10,000 yen in 2024.
This museum is currently closed, but please visit it when it reopens.
