Tokyo Sakura Tram "Toden Arakawa Line"
Hello, we are plat hostel keikyu minowa forest.
Today, we want to introduce about "Toden Arakawa Line".
Recently, Toden Arakawa Line is called "Tokyo Sakura Tram".
"Tokyo Sakura Tram" runs in northern Tokyo. It operates in areas where urban development has not yet taken place. There are many nostalgic little towns, nature-rich parks and shrines, and there are many spots where you want to take a leisurely stroll!
Most stops are unoccupied, so the driver manages getting on and off people, and tickets can be purchased in the car.
Why don't you go on an excursion that makes you feel like "I'm here for the first time, but nostalgic."
The "Tokyo Sakura Tram" runs between Minowabashi Station to Waseda Station (12.2km, 30 stops).
Minowabashi Station is a 5-minutes walk from Exit 3 of Minowa Station.
The normal fare is 170 yen for adults (IC168 yen) and 90 yen for children (IC84 yen), but there is also a free pass for a daily ticket: 400 yen for adults and 350 yen for children. It is good deal if you want to see many spots in a day!
You can also buy a free pass directly from Information center or the conductor at Minowabashi Station.
There are many recommended spots for Sakura in spring!(From the end of March to the beginning of April)
Also, it is famous as a rose flower spot, so you can enjoy the wonderful scenery with the tram even when the rose blooms.(Mid-May to early June)
We will also introduce recommended places for cherry blossom spots, so please look forward to it ♪
