Keikyu Group's Second Hostel "plat hostel keikyu asakusa station" Grand Opening

Keikyu Corporation (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Mr. Kazuyuki Harada) celebrates the grand opening of its second hostel, plat hostel keikyu asakusa station, on 4 September 2019 (Wednesday), as part of its growing hostel chain.

Keikyu Corporation acquired an existing hostel and renovated it under the "plat hostel keikyu" brand concept of a hostel that's safe and comfortable for female guests.
Keikyu Group company R-Bank Co.Ltd (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Mr. Toshiaki Honda) takes charge of the hostel name change, operations, building maintenance.

The hostel has an extremely convenient location. It is a 4 minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Tsukuba Express line and a 10 minute walk from Asakusa Station on the Toei Asakusa line, from which the International Terminal of Haneda Airport can be reached in 35 minutes with no train changes. The hostel aims to meet the diverse needs of not only foreign travellers, who are expected to increase, but also Japanese travellers like women or couples travelling together.

The hostel aims to entice travellers to use the hostel as a base to explore and go visit Yokosuka, Hayama and Miura, by displaying posters of the scenery along the Keikyu line on the walls of the common areas, as if the hostel itself were a station. Moreover the furniture has been changed to match the concept, and security measures such as cameras and on-call guard service have been introduced so that female travellers and guests who are not used to staying at hostels can enjoy their stay with peace of mind.

Keikyu Group plans to expand its hostel business as the demand for hotel accommodation continues to grow.
